01 — The game

A window. A slot. A stamp. And a queue that never ends. Every morning, the Consortium issues new rules. Every passenger carries a face, papers, implants — and sometimes a lie.

  1. 01

    Investigate, don’t guess

Link two fields to prove a discrepancy. The passenger’s face is part of the file. No proof, no denial.

  2. 02

    Pressure at the booth

The shift clock keeps running, even while the passenger walks up to the glass. The queue never quite empties.

  3. 03

The human cost of the rule

Wages, family, conscience. Every stamp has a cost, and you see it that same evening in your 9 m² cabin.

  4. 04

    Physical presence

A 3D passenger who waits, grows impatient, lowers their visor or loses their temper behind the fogged glass.

02 — A day at the booth

Eight hours. One queue. Your signature.

Ten days of campaign, one tight loop: each day adds a rule and takes away a certainty.

  1. 01 Morning

    Briefing

The Continuity Bureau issues the directive of the day. New rules, messages from your mentor at Booth 03, a note from home.

Screenshot: the day 01 briefing, Continuity Bureau directive, new rules and messages.
  2. 02 10:00 — 18:00

    Inspection

Documents slide through the slot. Space: Inspection Mode. One field, then another. A pinned discrepancy is your proof.

Screenshot: two holographic documents linked by a magenta line flagging a discrepancy in the ID number.
  3. 03 Verdict

    Approved, denied, detained

Hold V to approve, X to deny. Later, the Continuity Guard waits for your signal to detain.

Screenshot: the booth on day 07, the Continuity Guard escorts a detained passenger; Approved, Denied and Detention stamps.
  4. 04 18:00

    Report & evening

The ledger comes in: compliant entries, citations, fines. Then the Pétrel Block: rent, heating, food. You have to choose what you pay for.

Screenshot: the day 01 shift report, booth ledger and citation.

03 — Inspection Mode

Find the flaw. Prove it.

The file below is fictional; the rules are the game’s. Select a field, then a second one to compare. Two discrepancies are hidden in it.

Space · Inspection Mode Discrepancies 0 / 2
Consortium · Continuity BureauID card
HG-4382-T7KM
HG4382T7KM<TYC<NAVARRE<<ELIO<<<<04
Transit Authority · Halcyon GateEntry permit
PE-2187-40917

Select a first field.

Keyboard: Tab to move, Enter to select, Esc to cancel.

04 — The passengers

Every face is part of the file.

Passengers are generated: origin, class, implants, voice. Some of them lie to you. Others don’t, and they are often the most nervous.

Screenshot: eight generated passengers side by side, with varied outfits and implants.
Screenshot: the same passenger, visor raised.

Visors

Some passengers arrive with their visor down. As long as it stays on, the face cannot be compared: ask them to raise it. Not all of them comply.

Screenshot: eight generated passenger portraits, in pairs, like on a control sheet.

Lookalikes & a relative’s papers

An eight-year-old photo, a different haircut: legitimate noise. An identity trait that changes: an impostor. It’s up to you to tell the difference.

Voices in Tessar

Passengers speak Tessar, a pidgin born on the loading docks. Each voice is synthesized live from their appearance and mood, and always subtitled.

  • Oru ka.“Hello.” — lit. “I am here”
  • Tal ka nesu.“Here are my papers.”
  • Ravel ka ota.“My family is waiting for me.”
  • Kumo ri sava sa?“Why?” — lit. “what have I done?”
  • Vesh ota lumi.“Glory to the Consortium.” — often ironic

Implants

Declared on the card, visible on the face. An implant that shows up on only one side is a discrepancy.

  • OPT-Ocularring iris, chrome rim
  • NX-Neural shuntport behind the ear
  • MIL-Militarybanned without a waiver
  • KIN-Prostheticcommon among Tycho miners
  • DER-Dermalglowing lines under the skin

05 — Dilemmas

The rule has a price. You pay it at night.

Screenshot: a 20-credit envelope slipped in with the papers, Keep and Return buttons.

The envelope

Twenty credits, off the books.

Some files come with a little extra. Keeping it heats the cabin. Returning it keeps you clean. The Consortium keeps its own books.

Screenshot: a magenta firefly mark spotted on a document, compared against the bulletin of subversive symbols.

The Fireflies

Signs, for those who can read them.

A drawing in the corner of a document, an unknown word in the subtitles. The resistance has noticed you. Help, ignore or report: the station remembers everything.

Screenshot: evening in the Pétrel Block, household budget and the state of Ilan, Noa and Dora.

Home

Ilan, Noa, Dora.

A 9 m² cabin in the Pétrel Block. Noa coughs when the heating is cut. Dora refills her oxygen every other night. Ilan is looking for work at the recyclers.

7 endings

Loyalty, Fireflies’ trust, suspicion: three gauges you never see. Ten days later, the station delivers its verdict.

In one sentence

CLEARANCE is a cyberpunk identity-control game in stylized 3D where you compare holographic documents against the clock, on an orbital station where every rule has a human cost.

In one paragraph

Halcyon Gate, 2187. The only passage to the habitable Rings, the Consortium’s station screens everything that breathes. At Booth 04, you examine every passenger’s papers: ID card, permit, bio-scan, implants, and the face behind the glass. Every day brings new rules; every discrepancy must be proven by linking two fields. Bribes, signs from the Fireflies resistance, a family to feed: your stamps decide who gets through, and what you can afford that night. Seven endings, generated passengers, subtitled voices in Tessar.
